Areas for Improvement

  • The narrative lacks any representation of LGBTQ+ identities or non-heteronormative relationships.

AI Analysis

Santa Fe Trail functions as a classic reinforcement of American exceptionalism and traditional social hierarchies. The film's architecture codifies the expansion of Western influence as a heroic, morally unambiguous endeavor rather than critiquing systemic power dynamics. The narrative relies heavily on established archetypes of the era. It prioritizes the values of Manifest Destiny, positioning the protagonists as the primary drivers of civilization while framing non-white entities as impediments to progress.
