New Showbiz Analysis

The film operates as a classic 1970s morality tale, emphasizing supernatural conflict and personal redemption over diverse representation. While it avoids negative stereotypes, it lacks complexity in representing various identities. Branca Justiça stands out as a strong female character who drives moral resolution. However, the main plot revolves around the male protagonist's curse and his clan of assassins. Overall, the film follows typical genre conventions of its time. It doesn’t showcase visible representation across many identity categories, focusing instead on a battle between horror and spiritual salvation.
