New Showbiz Analysis

Hollywood Boulevard is a typical studio-era drama centered on a male protagonist dealing with professional contracts and family tensions. Although women play important roles in influencing the protagonist’s decisions, the film does not challenge traditional gender hierarchies. The production lacks racial and ethnic diversity, with the primary cast made up of white actors. There is also no representation of LGBTQ+ identities or characters with disabilities. Overall, the film serves as an exposé of 1930s Hollywood gossip, focusing on personal scandals rather than a diverse or inclusive social landscape.
