Meek, owlish Felix and strident, catty Doris live in the same apartment building. His incessant typing bothers her; her gentlemen callers bother him. Felix informs the landlord of her activities, so Doris moves in on Felix. When they both get thrown out, they move in with Barney... until they drive him out! That's when Felix and Doris finally decide to put theory into practice. But do opposites attract?

AI Analysis
The film excels at deconstructing gendered power dynamics, presenting a female lead who exerts social dominance and a male lead who experiences vulnerability. This subversion of traditional archetypes provides a nuanced look at interpersonal agency. However, the work lacks intersectional breadth. The narrative is largely homogeneous, offering minimal representation of racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ identities, which limits its cultural scope. Ultimately, the film serves as a study of class friction and shifting social mores. It trades broad demographic diversity for a deep, albeit narrow, exploration of class-based decorum and individualistic morality.
