Synopsis

A Russian spy is assigned to steal sensitive information from NATO about military mobilisation. Without much intelligence of his own, the distrusted Soviet intelligence agent needs all the help he can get from his 'talented' partner Penelope Lightfeather as they scatter around the French countryside for secret rendezvous while trying to avoid being caught by counterintelligence agents and distrustful communist operatives.

AI Analysis

Agent 38-24-36 is a period-specific espionage comedy that adheres to the social and demographic constraints of 1960s European cinema. The narrative focuses on geopolitical satire and character eccentricity rather than identity-based deconstruction. The film lacks intersectional representation, functioning instead as a traditional genre piece. While it offers a lighthearted look at Cold War tensions, it does not challenge the era's prevailing demographic norms.
