Pierre Fabre's comedy operates within traditional European structures, focusing on individual romantic pursuits rather than challenging systemic norms. The narrative centers on two men navigating the complexities of courtship and marriage in Paris. While the film offers a slight departure from middle-class norms through its Bohemian setting, it remains anchored in conventional social frameworks. The male characters play a significant role in driving the story, while other identities remain unexplored. Ultimately, the film reflects the era's standard comedic clichés, prioritizing romantic interest over diverse representation or the disruption of established social hierarchies.
