Home is a conventional mystery-drama that prioritizes suspense and familial tension over exploring diverse identities. Its narrative structure relies on traditional clichés, such as a long-absent male figure returning to a family unit, limiting social representation. The film's setting and focus suggest a localized, homogeneous environment. While it captures a specific regional atmosphere, it lacks efforts toward multi-ethnic casting or subverting gender hierarchies. Ultimately, the production follows a standard dramatic framework. It avoids exclusionary clichés but also misses opportunities to include progressive markers or diverse character arcs.
