Until the Last One is a mid-century crime thriller that adheres strictly to the social and cinematic conventions of 1957. The plot centers on a male protagonist's struggle with betrayal and criminal underworld dynamics, utilizing a circus setting to heighten tension. The film lacks intentionality regarding progressive representation. It relies on traditional gendered clichés and homogeneous casting, focusing on individual greed and interpersonal jealousy rather than broader social or cultural critiques. Ultimately, the work functions as a standard genre piece, reflecting the era's conventional storytelling methods and hierarchical character structures.
