AI Analysis
The Dalton Gang functions as a traditional genre piece, leaning heavily into established Western conventions. The story prioritizes historical archetypes of masculine agency and frontier justice over intersectional perspectives. By focusing on a specific historical brotherhood, the film centers on themes of loyalty and retribution. This approach reinforces standard genre tropes rather than challenging social hierarchies. Ultimately, the film appears to follow a predictable path of vengeance and crime, mirroring the historical period without attempting to subvert its inherent social stratifications.
