Tandy, Merideth and assorted others unexpectedly wake up in a steambath with no easy exit. After spending some time there, it becomes clear that the steambath is a sort of Afterlife, where indifferent souls come to tell their stories to God who happens to be the attendant picking up the towels.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film lacks explicit representation of non-cisnormative identities. While the steambath setting involves physical proximity and nudity, there is no evidence of narratives designed to critique heteronormativity.
Gender Representation
The narrative framework allows for various character perspectives through individual storytelling. However, it remains unclear if the film subverts traditional gender hierarchies or reinforces them.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The focus remains on the existential state of souls rather than racial intersectionality. There is no indication of a diverse or non-Anglo-Saxon majority cast.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film offers moderate subversion by portraying God as a mundane towel attendant. This deconstructs traditional religious authority in favor of a more subjective spiritual framework.
Disability Representation
There is no evidence regarding the inclusion of characters with visible or invisible disabilities within the narrative.

AI Analysis
Steambath functions as a metaphysical drama that uses a secularized afterlife to facilitate character vignettes. Its primary strength lies in its thematic subversion of religious iconography, reimagining the divine through a mundane, everyday lens. However, the film lacks a clear commitment to intersectional representation. The narrative focuses on individual testimonies without providing evidence of diverse racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, while the film disrupts traditional spiritual hierarchies, it fails to engage with broader systemic critiques or provide documented agency for marginalized groups.
