New Showbiz Analysis

Reagan (2024) is a conventional biographical drama that emphasizes historical accuracy and traditional cultural norms. Set in the mid-to-late 20th century, the film reflects the conservative American landscape of the time, limiting its exploration of diverse identities. While the film offers a nuanced portrayal of personal struggles through Alzheimer's, it does not actively challenge systemic norms. Instead, it upholds the traditional political and domestic structures of the Reagan era. Overall, the film validates the legacy of a prominent Western leader while avoiding critical perspectives on diversity and institutional norms.
