AI Analysis

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is a localized genre piece that prioritizes supernatural survival over social exploration. The film operates within the strict confines of J-Horror tropes, focusing on the immediate terror of a ritualistic setting. While the film provides a central female lead, it lacks intentional intersectional representation. The narrative architecture is built around group dynamics and situational horror rather than the deconstruction of identity or systemic frameworks. Ultimately, the film functions as a traditional horror experience. It does not seek to disrupt social hierarchies or engage with diverse social identities, resulting in a narrow demographic scope.
