AI Analysis

Goblin (1993) is a standard horror film that prioritizes visceral gore and survivalism over social commentary. The narrative follows established genre tropes, focusing on a supernatural threat invading a domestic space. The film relies on a traditional, non-diverse framework. It centers on a conventional newlywed couple in a localized setting, offering little room for intersectional character development or the subversion of social hierarchies. Ultimately, the movie functions as a pure genre piece. It lacks the complexity required to explore identity, race, or disability, sticking instead to the primal mechanics of the home invasion subgenre.
