It relies heavily on pursuit-based clichés where the male protagonist's actions drive the plot. The narrative lacks intentionality regarding social subversion. Instead, it prioritizes escapism and traditional romantic resolutions, reinforcing the gendered dynamics of the period through its focus on male conquest.
