The Land Girls is successful in showcasing the strength and independence of women through their work in agriculture. By placing women in traditionally male roles, the film challenges the societal norms of the time. However, the film's limited diversity, particularly in terms of LGBTQ+, racial, and disability representation, affects its overall score. Despite this, the film remains a realistic portrayal of wartime England, focusing on the everyday lives of working-class women rather than romanticized war stories.
