The film places a female lawyer at the center of a systemic collapse, challenging traditional power dynamics. Her intellectual authority and subsequent disillusionment offer a strong thematic critique of institutional integrity. While the film stays within the demographic norms of its domestic industry, it lacks intentional markers of characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity, particularly regarding LGBTQ+ and racial diversity. Ultimately, the film's strength lies in its cultural critique of institutional morality, using the thriller genre to deconstruct the sanctity of the law.
