AI Analysis

The Devil's Mercy operates within a conventional horror framework, relying heavily on the haunted house subgenre. The narrative architecture prioritizes the preservation of a nuclear family unit against supernatural threats, which reinforces standard social hierarchies rather than challenging them. Because the film adheres to mid-2000s domestic tropes, it lacks intersectional depth. The focus remains on the vulnerability of the domestic sphere, resulting in a story that feels culturally and socially homogeneous.
