AI Analysis

House of Purgatory operates as a standard psychological thriller that prioritizes genre mechanics over social commentary. The plot centers on a haunted house that weaponizes the personal secrets of four teenagers, driving the suspense through individual trauma rather than identity-based themes. Because the narrative focuses on the deconstruction of private vulnerabilities, it lacks the framework to address systemic hierarchies or intersectional representation. The film functions as a survival-based horror piece where the primary conflict is psychological and personal.
