Truth or Dare

The film operates within a traditional framework that assumes everyone is straight or cisgender. There are no LGBTQ+ characters or non-cisgender identities present.

Female characters are the main subjects of the supernatural threat. They play a significant role in their survival, but the film follows conventional patterns of vulnerability.

The cast is predominantly a homogeneous group of college students. Despite a tropical setting, the characters lack multi-layered depth or ability to act that disrupts Anglo-centric casting norms.

The story focuses on individual consequences rather than critiques of systemic institutions. It does not engage with anti-Western, anti-capitalist, or anti-religious sentiments.

The characters are largely able-bodied to fit the requirements of survival horror. There is no meaningful representation of physical disability or neurodivergence.
