AI Analysis

The Immorals functions as a subversive drama that prioritizes personal connection over established social morality. Its primary strength lies in its willingness to explore queer intimacy and deconstruct the traditional family unit within a 1979 cinematic context. However, the film's impact is limited by a lack of visible diversity in other areas. The narrative focus remains narrow, leaving racial and disability representation entirely unaddressed. Ultimately, the film succeeds as a critique of class and heteronormativity, even if it fails to provide a broader intersectional perspective.
