Alone (2021) is a psychological thriller that highlights the strength of women's ability to drive the story. By focusing on Laura Garland’s struggle against personal grief and government intrusion, the film critiques institutional authority and the fragility of private life. However, the film lacks depth in other areas of diversity. It does not provide information about racial or ethnic diversity, nor does it address LGBTQ+ identities or disabilities. The narrative centers on a traditional domestic framework focused on the loss of a husband.
Category Breakdown
