New Showbiz Analysis

Hell Train stands out by focusing on ethnic victimization and the systemic consequences of hate crimes. It uses a real-world tragedy to explore the friction between immigrant populations and established social structures in France. While the film excels in critiquing racialized aggression, it lacks breadth in other identity categories. The focus remains heavily on the racial and legal dimensions of the conflict. Ultimately, the film challenges the homogeneity of mid-80s European crime dramas by emphasizing social justice and systemic failure.
