AI Analysis

Marriage of the Century is a conventional 1980s romantic comedy that prioritizes established genre tropes over social subversion. The plot follows a standard courtship trajectory centered on a male protagonist's bet to seduce a princess. The film adheres to traditional social hierarchies and heteronormative structures. It lacks intersectional depth, focusing instead on the romantic conquest and the tension between class-based expectations and individual desire. Ultimately, the work functions as a classic genre piece that reinforces mid-80s romantic conventions rather than challenging systemic norms or providing diverse representation.
