Tierra de todos is a period piece that prioritizes ideological tension over demographic diversity. While the historical setting restricts racial and LGBTQ+ representation, the film excels in its intellectual exploration of institutional power. Using the Spanish Civil War as a backdrop, it deconstructs the relationship between the state, the church, and the individual. However, the narrative remains confined by the era's gender hierarchies and a limited range of ethnic backgrounds.
