New Showbiz Analysis

The Control Group operates as a standard survival horror film, prioritizing suspense and the conflict between humans and supernatural forces. The narrative structure follows established genre conventions rather than pursuing intentional multi-layered design. Because the plot focuses on escape and experimentation, it lacks depth regarding social dynamics or identity politics. The film relies on traditional clichés, such as the asylum setting, which often bypass complex representation in favor of atmospheric tension.
