Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The cast is predominantly homogeneous, reflecting the historical demographics of the setting. This results in a lack of intersectional casting.

Strengths
- Maintains historical realism through period-accurate demographics.
- Provides a clear exploration of socioeconomic tensions between industry and agriculture.
Areas for Improvement
- Lacks representation of LGBTQ+ identities or non-cisnormative gender expressions.
- Female agency is limited primarily to romantic and domestic roles.
- Provides no representation for characters with disabilities.
AI Analysis
The film functions as a traditional period piece that prioritizes historical realism and literary fidelity. It focuses on individual ambition and romantic entanglements within established social hierarchies rather than attempting to deconstruct them. While the production captures the socioeconomic friction of its era, it does so through a naturalistic lens. This approach maintains conventional morality and traditional social structures throughout the story.
