AI Analysis

Return serves as a sharp critique of global hegemony, linking ecological decline to political corruption. Its primary strength is the refusal to center Western prosperity, instead highlighting the friction between corporate interests and global stability. The film succeeds by framing environmental struggles as a systemic failure of global capitalism rather than isolated incidents. This approach provides significant agency to perspectives from the third world. However, the documentary lacks specific character-driven representation. While its ideological framework is progressive, there is no visible focus on LGBTQ+ or disability-related narratives.
