The film operates as a traditional genre piece that prioritizes psychological tension and crime-thriller clichés over social subversion. The narrative is built around established masculine archetypes and the social structures of 1970s Egypt. While the film offers a culturally authentic experience for its specific setting, it does not attempt to challenge systemic power dynamics.
