The film functions as a meta-fictional comedy that emphasizes surrealism over broad demographic representation. Its main interest lies in the deconstruction of authority through the relationship between a performer and his creation. While the narrative disrupts the traditional artist-subject hierarchy, it remains tied to the social and demographic limitations of mid-century European cinema. The lack of diverse casting and character's ability to drive the story results in a lower overall score. Ultimately, the work's progressive value is found in its narrative structure rather than its depiction of various human identities.
