A Respectable Family is a powerful exploration of how economic desperation undermines traditional moral and familial structures. The film excels in its authentic portrayal of Middle Eastern life, offering a deep look at a specific cultural reality that challenges Western-centric storytelling norms. However, the film's impact is limited by a lack of diversity regarding LGBTQ+ identities and disability representation. While it effectively critiques patriarchal authority, the narrow focus on the immediate family unit leaves other dimensions unexplored. Ultimately, the film is a significant work that uses socioeconomic struggle to question the stability of traditional social institutions.
