AI Analysis

Dream Home is a visceral critique of hyper-consumerism and the commodification of space in Hong Kong. It disrupts horror tropes by centering violence on systemic economic pressures rather than supernatural entities. The film excels in its subversion of gender roles, presenting a female protagonist with immense agency and strategic capacity. This provides a progressive departure from standard genre conventions. However, the film lacks intersectional diversity. It offers no representation for LGBTQ+ identities or characters with disabilities, and the cast remains demographically homogeneous.
