The film stands out for its critique of social and domestic norms. By showing a family driven by greed and survival, it highlights the impact of capitalist pressures and dismantles the idealized family unit. Female characters notably reject passive, virtuous roles to become active participants in criminal behavior. However, the film falls short in representing diverse identities. It lacks LGBTQ+ themes, characters with disabilities, and ethnic diversity, focusing instead on a homogeneous cultural context. Overall, the film's strength lies in its critical examination of societal issues rather than its broad representation of different identities.
