After a bull is killed in a bullfight, its body parts are transported across Spain, France, Italy and Belgium. The bull's parts fall into the wide variety of people, including: an Italian actress selling the bones in a supermarket promotion, a Spanish woman who dines on its steaks, a little girl in France who imagines a world where animals are much larger than humans, and a taxidermist whose wife is simultaneously giving birth to quintuplets.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film utilizes a decentralized, episodic structure that avoids traditional nuclear family arcs. While it lacks explicit queer identities or romantic storylines, its non-linear approach allows for diverse interpersonal dynamics.
Gender Representation
Delphine Gleize subverts traditional hierarchies by centering female agency across various geographies. The narrative prioritizes female perspectives, from an Italian actress to a mother of quintuplets, over masculine-driven epics.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The pan-European setting creates a tapestry of Mediterranean and Continental cultures. While the cast is primarily Western European, the film effectively disrupts monolithic national identities through its fluid movement across borders.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film presents a fragmented, secular view of life and death. It challenges traditional institutions by portraying existence as a series of disconnected, often absurd events rather than a religious journey.
Disability Representation
There is no explicit evidence of physical disabilities or neurodivergence. The focus on a young girl's internal imagination hints at cognitive exploration, but specific character details are absent.

AI Analysis
Carnage is a sophisticated, non-linear drama that rejects traditional hero-centric structures in favor of observational storytelling. It succeeds by centering female agency and utilizing a multi-cultural European framework to explore the interconnectedness of disparate lives. The film's strength lies in its ability to deconstruct established norms and moral hierarchies. By focusing on the fragmented reality of existence through the movement of a single entity, it achieves a meaningful level of complexity. However, the film's impact is somewhat limited by a lack of explicit LGBTQ+ identities and a primarily Western European cast. These omissions prevent the work from reaching the highest tiers of inclusive representation.
