While the film lacks racial and disability representation, it excels in cultural critique. By positioning an outsider as a source of intellectual growth, the story challenges the restrictive nature of Western family and religious structures. Ultimately, the film provides a sophisticated experience through its commitment to moral relativism and individual ability to act, despite its demographic limitations due to its era.
