New Showbiz Analysis

Eternal functions as a psychological gothic horror that prioritizes the subversion of social and gender hierarchies over broad demographic variety. The film successfully deconstructs the 'heroic lawman' cliché by focusing on a morally questionable detective and a dominant female lead. However, the film lacks visible multi-layered depth. The setting feels culturally localized to a specific Western aristocratic class, and there is no evidence of racial or disability-based representation to balance the narrative.
