AI Analysis

Les Grands Moyens stands out for its subversion of gendered power dynamics. By transforming an elderly woman from a survivor into a lethal protagonist, the film rejects the trope of female domesticity and vulnerability. The film also provides a departure from mainstream Anglo-Saxon narratives by centering on a specific Corsican cultural context. This ethnic specificity adds a layer of Mediterranean identity to the crime-comedy framework. However, the film lacks intersectional depth. The absence of LGBTQ+ representation and multi-ethnic casting limits its overall diversity, keeping the focus strictly on a singular, traditional familial structure.
