Premier de la Classe offers a unique cultural perspective by focusing on a non-Western diaspora experience. The protagonist's journey through community expectations provides a detailed look at identity within a minority context. However, the film adheres closely to traditional social structures. The narrative emphasizes established kinship roles and masculine hierarchies, with limited engagement with multi-layered identities. While the ethnic representation is a notable strength, the absence of LGBTQ+ characters and lack of diversity in gender roles and disability representation limit the film's broader social impact.

In truth, Abu is, above all, the king of lies and fake school grades.
