Righteous Thieves uses a heist thriller framework to explore themes of restorative justice and historical rectification. By pitting a ragtag crew against a neo-Nazi billionaire, the film critiques systemic corruption and the hoarding of stolen cultural assets. While the film features a strong female lead and engages with the history of racial oppression, it lacks visible representation for LGBTQ+ and disabled communities. The narrative's strength lies in its thematic deconstruction of wealth and authority rather than demographic breadth.
