Five vastly different high school girls are assigned to lead an anti-bullying assembly, and in doing so, accidentally form a girl group that they call Drama Drama. The assembly is a hit, and a classmate convinces them to form a real band. As they write songs together, play at the homecoming dance, and prepare for a concert outside school, the band must navigate their own teenage drama: boys they like, jealous 'frenemies', the stress of passing their final year, and deciding their futures.

AI Analysis
The film succeeds in subverting typical teen movie structures by placing female agency at the forefront. By centering a girl group, it shifts the focus from male-dominated social hierarchies to collective female empowerment and creative leadership. However, the representation remains somewhat ambiguous regarding specific identities. While the cast is described as diverse, the lack of explicit detail regarding racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ identities prevents a higher score. Ultimately, the film provides a strong framework for intersectional storytelling through its ensemble cast, even if the specificities of those identities are not fully articulated in the primary narrative overview.
