Virpi Suutari’s documentary uses a road movie structure to capture a changing picture of Finland. By moving from structured programming to a sense of civic anarchy, the film disrupts traditional documentary authority. This approach highlights subjective human truths over rigid nationalistic presentations. However, the film’s focus on a specific European landscape limits its representation of racial and ethnic diversity. While the theme of the 'landscape of the soul' allows for deep psychological exploration, the lack of specific character details makes it hard to confirm the presence of LGBTQ+ or disabled communities.
