Josh is a classic romantic drama that relies heavily on established genre conventions. The plot follows the star-crossed lovers cliché, where personal desires are constrained by external tribal loyalties and gang rivalries. The film prioritizes emotional resonance and interpersonal tension over exploring diverse identities. It operates within a traditional framework that upholds conventional social and gender structures.
