Sundarapurushan operates within the conventional framework of early 2000s regional commercial cinema. The narrative relies heavily on established genre clichés, prioritizing traditional social hierarchies and heterosexuality over progressive themes. The film's structure centers on a deception orchestrated by male authority figures, limiting the role of female characters. This reliance on patriarchal management and institutional authority defines the film's social architecture. While the film reflects the cultural identity of its specific audience, it offers little disruption to societal expectations regarding class, gender, and neurodivergence. It functions as a standard family comedy of its era.
