New Showbiz Analysis

Bennett's War is a traditional drama that prioritizes established cinematic clichés. It focuses heavily on veteran identity, masculinity, and the role of the male provider. While the film offers a nuanced look at physical disability and personal ability to act, it lacks broader multi-layered depth. The narrative structure reinforces conventional social norms rather than challenging them. By centering on a specific, homogeneous demographic, the film misses opportunities for multicultural or diverse perspectives.
