Second Sight follows a classic mismatched-duo structure, featuring an ex-cop and an eccentric psychic. The plot revolves around standard investigative procedures and supernatural elements used primarily for humor. The film adheres to traditional late-20th-century comedic structures, emphasizing genre clichés and established social hierarchies. It does not delve into characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity or disrupt conventional narrative expectations. Overall, the film functions as a situational comedy centered on a mystery, lacking the depth needed to explore identity politics or systemic critiques.
