Jessie is an aging career criminal who has been in more jails, fights, schemes, and lineups than just about anyone else. His son Vito, while currently on the straight and narrow, has had a fairly shady past and is indeed no stranger to illegal activity. They both have great hope for Adam, Vito's son and Jessie's grandson, who is bright, good-looking, and without a criminal past.

AI Analysis
Family Business is a character study focused on generational continuity and the friction between kinship and institutional duty. It operates within a traditional dramatic framework that prioritizes a singular ethnic perspective and established social hierarchies. The film's strength lies in its nuanced exploration of moral relativism and situational ethics. It examines how individuals navigate the tension between personal loyalty and the law. However, the narrative architecture is heavily male-centric and lacks demographic breadth. The focus on a patriarchal lineage and a specific cultural milieu limits the film's engagement with broader social identities.
