New Showbiz Analysis

Reflections of Murder is a psychological thriller focused on a domestic and professional power struggle. The narrative centers on two women—a wife and a mistress—who collaborate to dismantle a patriarchal figure. This structure disrupts traditional gender hierarchies by highlighting the ability to act of female characters. However, the film lacks depth in terms of ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability. It focuses primarily on the mechanics of the genre and the subversion of male authority. Ultimately, while the film successfully portrays women as active agents in a tense thriller, it does not address a broader range of diverse identities.
