The film is a character-driven exploration of deception and social manipulation. It prioritizes situational ethics and individual ability to act over reinforcing established social or religious hierarchies. While the narrative presents a world where identity can be used as a tool for personal gain, it lacks significant multi-layered diversity. Its primary strength lies in its subversion of traditional morality. By focusing on con artists, the film avoids a singular, traditional ethical code in favor of a more cynical, postmodern view of institutional integrity. However, the film remains limited by its Eurocentric setting and lack of representation for LGBTQ+ and non-white identities. The focus on European social strata suggests a predominantly white cast, which restricts the scope of its social commentary.
