New Showbiz Analysis

Eyes of the Prey centers on a female protagonist who transforms from a nurturing nurse into a formidable avenger. This shift challenges traditional gender roles and the 'damsel in distress' cliché. However, the film lacks multi-layered depth, particularly in terms of racial and LGBTQ+ representation. Additionally, while it critiques social institutions effectively, it primarily uses trauma as a plot device rather than exploring the complexities of disability.
