The narrative structure centers around a single male protagonist, offering limited space for diverse viewpoints. The film adheres to the cinematic norms of 1939, using established urban struggle clichés. By grounding the moral compass in a historical figure, it upholds a conventional Western worldview rather than exploring a multicultural perspective. Ultimately, the film offers a narrow view of the American experience, focusing on a traditional protagonist's journey through a culturally homogeneous urban environment.
