Night of the Witches primarily functions as a genre-driven horror piece that challenges traditional gender hierarchies. By positioning a female collective as the source of power, it disrupts the typical 1970s cliché of male dominance. However, this subversion is offset by a lack of breadth in other areas. The film operates within a very narrow demographic framework, offering almost no representation for LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, or diverse racial groups. Ultimately, while the film succeeds in inverting power hierarchies through its female characters, it remains a homogeneous production that lacks multi-layered depth.
